so i was feeling random and spontanious.... and well if you want me to be honest... was looking for some items to organize my makeup kit.... so i call up me mama and headed to the AX MAN... pretty much the bomb.com store of the centry for people with ADD and random scattering brains. you can pretty much find any and everything at this store!

the hunt began... and oh yea... kimmy and i played dres up.....

Nail trend F/W '10



M.A.C.s fall winter nail lacquer collection was inspired by master of nail art Jin Soon...
i dont think there is is there any better way to polish off your look this fall!
my two fave colors from the collection are above...earthly harmony(neutral grey with a hint of magic) and imperial flower (fire hot red orange).

p.s. they have been named style icons of 2010.. its about time if you ask me.

do the dang thang

soo i have had quite a few requests over the past few years for makeup parties/ lessons... what are your thoughts? my mama and her friends have begged me to do do something of the sort for hmm the past couple years... im thinking about making plays here..

sometimes i forget about products i was once in love with... i recently l rekindled the flame with prep and prime lip from M.A.C.... its makes everything glide on the lip like silk! even dry matte lipsticks and liners! not only that but it provides a hint of hydration and keeps any and all lip products on longer! me likey

matte about you

another big trend thats popping up everywhere is matte nail polish. i saw the trend a while ago but couldnt find anywhere that sold it besides online.... finally... minnesota is catching on! i have seen a few brands making matte colors.. o.p.i. anad essie to name a few...what i have been all about is a matte top coat! gives any collor a matte new groove...

im wearing light affair nail polish from M.A.C. off with a matte top coat. diggin it.
also its kinda fun to match your lip and nail color.. so i did.. the nail polish has a hint of purple so i chose a plum lip ;)

sunshine on a cloudy day

with this yucky mcyuckerton cold, cloudy weather we have had in minneapolis lately i have been craving a little sunshine in my day! so... i have been busting out the bright lips once again! corals, juicy berrys, cherry red, barbie pink.. you name it ill wear it! for a slightly more understated and care free look i have been skipping glossy finishes and sticking to a more matte look. i love me a matte lip... but sometimes feel it can look and feel dry.expecially this time of year. blah! SO.. the fix? i have been patting on a lip balm over to give a more natural hydrated finish to the lip... it looks a little somethin like this...

mini vacation to relaxation

i received a gift card for christmas for massage envy ,this place in eden prairie. so i went today on my day off...tho it was relaxing, nothing compares to the best massage i have had in my life... at winstons barber shop in uptown minneapolis. you would probably think they only do male grooming.. but no. they also do womens hair, nails and massage! its an adorable little place so cozy and inviting... anyways... AMAMNDA was the masage therapists name... you have got to go to her next time you want a massage. she had MAGICAL l hands. a massage makes a great gift too(valentines day is coming up dudes) or a nice treat for yourself! (obviously) i highly recommend her! and im pretty sure if its your first time there you get a half hour FO FREE!!! check it out peeps!

baby face... or coolio?

yeah i think im funny... so one thing i am highly obsessed with is healthy radiant skin... and who doesn't want that?? ... working at M.A.C. i get to play with some of the most amazing and cutting edge products on the market every day... which leads me to this product... care blend oils..let m just say UH- MAZING. they are packed with essential oils that are great for your skin! they help clarify and hydrate the skin...i cant get enough of them... they are so versatile i could go on and on... i have been mixing one drop with my foundation to give a little extra glow and smoother blend, they literally make foundation melt into the skin smoothly and flawlessly! i have also been putting one drop in my moisturizer for day 2 drops at night.. love it as a cuticle oil, mixed with moisturizer knees and elbows.. LOVE LOVE LOVE especially this time of year in minnesota!



on the daily... i have been preping my skin with fix+ spray (M.A.C.) and then because i really dry skin im mixing one drop of the oils with a light moisturizer to hydrate the skin... then applying my foundation..

my fave foundation concoction so far is ad follows: 1 drop camomile grapefruit care blend oils + one pump of studio fix fluid applied with a classic foundation brush (#190 at M.A.C)= yummy flawless glowing skin.

heres a picture of what it looks like.. sorry for the bad lighting...you just have to try it yourself to see the real deal!!

if you have more oily skin you can set with a powder... mineralize skin finish natural (M.A.C. duh) is my fave for keeping that glow! and if you have more normal to dry skin, like myself, you can just touch up with the powder when needed thru out the dight/day...
