i love how neutrogenas rain bath body oil feels on my skin after a hot shower. its light weight ultra-hydrating and gives a loverly glow to the skin. It is especially fab in the winter time when our skin is oh so thirsty. it soaks right in without leaving a sticky residue and locknutris in moisture all day. it smells amazing...but they also have a fragrance free if you prefer:)

i love lip plumper. i like the little tingle and smooth pouty look it gives the lips. hehe

i did hear that they are reformulating it so it has the same all natural claim as the rest of the product line.. but im a little concerned.. i hope it is relaunched and just as amazing as it currently is... annoying.

my must have is the color Dani... its a pale sheer blue pink. cute as a button.

so as some of you know when i have some down time from weddings i freelance for various cosmetic companies. one being NARS. i got my hands on some samples of their new tinted moisturizer before it came out a few weeks ago.. and im here to tell you the boot scoop and boogy on it.

a. im obsessed.
b. Love.
C. yep.
d. apparently its only available at Nordstrom.

my experience with this new tinted moisturizer has been nothing but positive.

many times with other tinted moisturizers my normal to dry skin just soaks up settles in my smile lines

but NOt this one! NARS new tinted moisturizer with spf and skin brightening technology lefts my skin feeling natural plump and silky soft... yep.

you can either war it by itself

or add a touch of concealer under your eyes and or where ever you want a titch of added coverage.

a little blush on the apples of your cheeks. a curl of the lashes and coat of mascara and your off.

im obsessed with changing my nail color.... even if i get gel polish and my nails look great... i get so sick of looking at the same color on my fingers that i find myself painting over it or peeling it off (ahh whyyyy?!) anyways...its been about a week and a half since my last manicure... and well... lets just say i thought the color got old...or did it? well... so its gone. im thinking about trying this ^ on my nails.. i hope they can do it in get polish so it stays shiny and pretty for a week or so;)

It has recently been pointed out to me that i have been slacking/ been absent From my blog... Sorry:/
I recently was fortunate enough to excape the cold minnesota winter over the holidays and spnt some quatity time with my best friend and boyfriend in costa rica... Yes paradise..

When i was there i wanted to wear little to no makeup

Beofore i left town i went to see my favorite estie Sonja boatman...she always keeps it real.. Skin and eyebrow guru.

Things on my to do list:

Eye lash tint- i like the blue black tint best it's the darkest.... No need for mascara... Just a quick curl and oval.. Hello bright eyes!

Eye brow tint- my hair is a titch darker than my brows so i figured i would try this out so i wouldn't have to worry about filling in my brows every day... Brows can make a huge difference on a face...when matching a brow pencil or powder choose a shade two shades lighter than your brow hairs and more of a cool tone so they don't get too orage or red looking.....blondes should go slightly darker than their hair color.. Most dirty blomde or ash colors work great for you. Brows can really frame the face and pop the eyes.

Brow wax- just a clean up the strays.... I Ike a natural looking brow.

Facial... A must for me to keep my complexion in shape... Sonja always gives me tips on how to keep my skin clear... I'm always finding new skin care to add to my daily routine. Proper skincare leads to a great complexion.. Which leads to a perfect canvas for any makeup application ;)

These are a few things that you can do every month to keep a fresh face.... They make you feel fresh and pulled together in your bare naked face;)

Two of the greatest things ever if u ask me!!

So..What's everyone being for Halloween?!?
For me it's a toss up... Todlers in tiaras girl, little red riding hood, wonder woman... The list goes on... I have also heard a ton of other great ideas... Black swan... That would be awesome makeup!! Olive Oil from Popeye, maralin Monroe - classic, white trash haha ( my mom is totally dressing up at this...shocker) spartin cheerleaders, hot dog...One year mg friends when at troll dolls... I'm still obsessed! Hahah love it all!!

This time of year being a makeup artist is SO fun!!

since i could remember my mom has done my hair... cut color perm, damage.... wait... haha but really tho. my mom has always done my hair. :( the ol mama does a killer cut.. but color... not so much. i tried different colorest at various salons but i always felt like i never left happy. always felt the stylist never understood the idea i was trying to get across... and then ended up doing a quick fix or just whatever they wanted to do.. leaving me sad and unhappy. till one daaay i was refered y a friend to miss emily fett at the beauty room. she changed my world.

the first time i went to see emily i was nervous and excited. i was in desperate need of some help....i had tried to "fix" what my mom has started with a good old box color (never a good idea....EVER) and ended up with grey hair. not good.

not only did emily fix it but she perfected it. and then some.
emily is a "color expert" NO JOKE. i think she is telepathic because it was almost like she read my mind.

it was an easy fix for this pro. emily continues to save me a lot of time and stress, and mess.. i have rewened many bathrooms with hair die.

emily also does keretin hair treatments( protein treatment) i swear by. i have had 2 treatments and i feel like i have a new head of hair. i have yet to have a hair cut since my first treatment 5 months ago and i have minimal split ends. love that. because i dislike hair cuts.

bar none. emily is the bomb. you can tell she is passionate about what she does. im so anal with it comes to my hair and i have never been more happy since going to emily. and its not just me haha.. go figure. she has had clients following her for almost 10 years. woah girl.

The Beauty Room, on s. chicago ave is the salon you can find emily is ADORABLE! owner mi shaun schmidt schwab (who is also a stylist there) really put together a wonderful place. i cant say enough wonderful thing about it. cutting edge trendy stylists, classy, comfortable inviting, with acceptional service. check out the website for more services they offer too (aka lash tinting <3, facials, nails and fun jewelry shopping) :D! whoo whoo

M.A.C.s fall winter nail lacquer collection was inspired by master of nail art Jin Soon...
i dont think there is is there any better way to polish off your look this fall!
my two fave colors from the collection are above...earthly harmony(neutral grey with a hint of magic) and imperial flower (fire hot red orange).

sometimes i forget about products i was once in love with... i recently l rekindled the flame with prep and prime lip from M.A.C.... its makes everything glide on the lip like silk! even dry matte lipsticks and liners! not only that but it provides a hint of hydration and keeps any and all lip products on longer! me likey

another big trend thats popping up everywhere is matte nail polish. i saw the trend a while ago but couldnt find anywhere that sold it besides online.... finally... minnesota is catching on! i have seen a few brands making matte colors.. o.p.i. anad essie to name a few...what i have been all about is a matte top coat! gives any collor a matte new groove...

im wearing light affair nail polish from M.A.C. off with a matte top coat. diggin it.
also its kinda fun to match your lip and nail color.. so i did.. the nail polish has a hint of purple so i chose a plum lip ;)

sunshine on a cloudy day

with this yucky mcyuckerton cold, cloudy weather we have had in minneapolis lately i have been craving a little sunshine in my day! so... i have been busting out the bright lips once again! corals, juicy berrys, cherry red, barbie pink.. you name it ill wear it! for a slightly more understated and care free look i have been skipping glossy finishes and sticking to a more matte look. i love me a matte lip... but sometimes feel it can look and feel dry.expecially this time of year. blah! SO.. the fix? i have been patting on a lip balm over to give a more natural hydrated finish to the lip... it looks a little somethin like this...

i received a gift card for christmas for massage envy ,this place in eden prairie. so i went today on my day off...tho it was relaxing, nothing compares to the best massage i have had in my life... at winstons barber shop in uptown minneapolis. you would probably think they only do male grooming.. but no. they also do womens hair, nails and massage! its an adorable little place so cozy and inviting... anyways... AMAMNDA was the masage therapists name... you have got to go to her next time you want a massage. she had MAGICAL l hands. a massage makes a great gift too(valentines day is coming up dudes) or a nice treat for yourself! (obviously) i highly recommend her! and im pretty sure if its your first time there you get a half hour FO FREE!!! check it out peeps!

baby face... or coolio?

yeah i think im funny... so one thing i am highly obsessed with is healthy radiant skin... and who doesn't want that?? ... working at M.A.C. i get to play with some of the most amazing and cutting edge products on the market every day... which leads me to this product... care blend oils..let m just say UH- MAZING. they are packed with essential oils that are great for your skin! they help clarify and hydrate the skin...i cant get enough of them... they are so versatile i could go on and on... i have been mixing one drop with my foundation to give a little extra glow and smoother blend, they literally make foundation melt into the skin smoothly and flawlessly! i have also been putting one drop in my moisturizer for day 2 drops at night.. love it as a cuticle oil, mixed with moisturizer knees and elbows.. LOVE LOVE LOVE especially this time of year in minnesota!

on the daily... i have been preping my skin with fix+ spray (M.A.C.) and then because i really dry skin im mixing one drop of the oils with a light moisturizer to hydrate the skin... then applying my foundation..

my fave foundation concoction so far is ad follows: 1 drop camomile grapefruit care blend oils + one pump of studio fix fluid applied with a classic foundation brush (#190 at M.A.C)= yummy flawless glowing skin.

heres a picture of what it looks like.. sorry for the bad lighting...you just have to try it yourself to see the real deal!!

if you have more oily skin you can set with a powder... mineralize skin finish natural (M.A.C. duh) is my fave for keeping that glow! and if you have more normal to dry skin, like myself, you can just touch up with the powder when needed thru out the dight/day...
